Board Of Governance

The Board of Governors is made up of inspiring and high-achieving individuals from the world of Computer Science, Medical, Business, trade and industry, Sociology, and from across all backgrounds and ages. They play a significant role in the success of Softcom.
The Board of Governors is the governing body as prescribed by Softcom’s Instrument of Government. Its primary responsibilities are

  1. Determination of the Industry character and mission of Softcom and for oversight of the company activities;
  2. The effective and efficient use of resources, the solvency of Softcom and the Corporation and for safeguarding their assets;
  3. Approving annual estimates of income and expenditure;
  4. Approving the annual audited accounts;
  5. The appointment, grading, suspension, dismissal and determination of the pay and conditions of the CEO, the Clerk to the Board of Governors, and other such senior posts as the Board of Governors may determine; Setting a framework for the pay and conditions of all other staff.
  6. Ensuring the existence of an effective internal control framework;
  7. Direction and oversight of audit arrangements;
